29-Dec-10 Inside Lima – La Victoria

This month, Carlos Morelli from InsideLima will be back at the clubhouse to speak about La Victoria, one of the 49 districts of Lima. Although this district will never be included in a standard city tour, ‘La Rica Vicky’ has a strong identity and many points of interest for those who want to explore the real Lima. Some of its most notable landmarks include Polvos Azules black market, the San Cosme and El Pino hills (considered among the first shanty towns of the city), Alianza Lima Stadium and La Parada Market. La Victoria is famous for hosting two important brothel zones, in the past, Huatica and México. You can also see the Interbank building, the most modern construction in town, designed by the famous Austrian architect Hans Hollein, or eat what some consider to be the best cebiche in the world at Chez Wong.

As always, Carlos will provide an interesting insight into aspects of the city that you won’t find in a guidebook, so join us for this unique opportunity to get to know the real Lima.

Date: Wednesday 29th of December from 6pm until 7:45pm.
Where: Lima Clubhouse, Calle Piura 135, Miraflores.
